PilotPrep ("the app") helps you prepare for the FAA Private Pilot Airplane knowledge (written) test. This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: we have no servers, no accounts, and we never sell your data.
PilotPrep is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Everything you do in the app — lesson progress, streaks, XP, review schedule, your test date, practice-exam results, and any values you customize (such as the knowledge-test cost or medical-certificate durations) — is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes this data. The app has no sign-up, no login, and collects no name, email address, or contact information.
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's software inside the app may collect device information such as your IP address (used to infer approximate location), device identifiers (including, with your permission, the advertising identifier), ad interaction data, and diagnostic/performance data. Whether ads may use your data for personalization is controlled by the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt: if you tap "Ask App Not to Track" (or never see the prompt), the app requests non-personalized ads. You'll see the same number of ads either way.

PilotPrep Premium (monthly or lifetime) removes all advertising, and with it all ad-related data collection.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings; request refunds through Apple.
Daily practice reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent from a server, and you can disable them in iOS Settings.
The app is intended for people preparing for the FAA Private Pilot knowledge test and is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
